Im hoping to switch my major into this one and I'm looking at the class list and there is only one class for each section! Does this mean that this major is heavily impacted or what??
Is there a way to change your Rohan email address? I got my last name and a number and I'd like to change it if possible.. and I can't figure out if/how.
Hey! My name is Kim and my roommate and I are looking for one person to fill our three bedroom house. The house is located in Allied Gardens, about one mile away from the 8 and Grantville Trolley Station. We are both soon-to-be 21 year olds, full time students, with full time jobs. We're looking for someone who is laid back, considerate, and dog friendly. We are not into drama nor are we 420 friendly.
The house is 1100 square feet and the 675 would allow you to have the significantly largest room in the house as well as a parking spot in the garage. The house is a furnished corner house with a large front yard as well as a large backyard.
If you have any questions or are interested please feel free to e-mail me at: email@example.com.
I am moving to San Diego to attend SDSU in fall. Can anyone recommend any apartments near campus for housing? Ideally, I would like to find a 2 bedroom, near campus, and with a swimming pool. Is this possible?
Is Craigslist the best resource for apartment hunting?
I have some great news for all those currently going to SDSU. Do you want FREE tacos just for filling up your gas tank?( THIS IS HOW!Collapse )
So I am an ancient 22 years old (going on 23), and I am finally applying to State this fall to enroll fall of '09. I'm feeling pretty lame for being "so old"...has anyone else struggled with this? Browsing this community, I've noticed that everyone seems to be on track entering as either a freshman or typical 19/20 year old transfer. Better late than never has become my mantra, and I am just hoping to still have somewhat of a normal "college experience" my last two years. I am also kind of worried about making those close friends that so many meet while thrown into the craziness of dorm life, which isn't the norm for someone my age. I'm not really sure what I'm getting at here, but...does anyone recall ever meeting older people in their classes or have any recommendations for living arrangements where I can still be super involved in the going-ons at SDSU and partake in the college life?
I'm kinda bummed that I've taken so long to get where I'm at...any reassurance? lol.
Also, is SDSU a commuter school?
Oh, and one more question... I know the weather in SD in "nice"...but how nice? I currently live in Ventura County, near the coast in Southern Cali, and the weather is "nice" here too, but we get the damn marine layer all the time which I don't care much for, as I am a total sun lizard. Is the climate pretty moderate year round? Almost always sunny? What's the deal? [Any pros and cons in general are welcome...please feel free to sell me on the school!]
Any and all input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys and gals.
Has any one in this community ever taken Linguistics or Computer Science 581 (Computational Linguistics) before? I am at my wit's end with a particular programming exercise on the take-home final. My brain is mush and I am desperate for help.

Prosecutor: 96 SDSU Students Busted For Drugs
SAN DIEGO -- A prosecutor said Tuesday that nearly 100 students at San Diego State University have been arrested on drug-related charges.
The arrests are the result of a five-month undercover operation targeting drug dealers and buyers on the SDSU campus, according to the San Diego County District Attorney's Office. Among the 96 people arrested were several members of campus fraternities, prosecutors said. Drugs, cash and guns were seized in the operation, they said.
Drugs, cash and guns were seized from sellers and buyers in the arrests that followed a five-month undercover operation. Defendants are scheduled to appear in state court to face charges Tuesday afternoon.
The District Attorney's Office has scheduled an 11 a.m. news conference to discuss the details of the operation.
My best friend applied to the master's of social work program at SDSU, and hasn't heard back yet. The webportal info just states that her application is still "under review," even though she was under the impression that acceptance letters for the 2 year program would have already been sent out by now.
Does anyone know if the letters have been sent out? and if so...should she have already received it?
I'm torn between thinking that she didn't get in (because it is the middle of April and shes already heard back from other grad schools), and maybe SDSU is slower--hence the "still under review."
Yes, I know she can call, but that's her decision. *I* trying to get as much info I can to prepare myself to either console or congratulate her. Ya know?
Please help me...if you know.
